Life getting better (no worse anyway)

As I continue to struggle, I have developed an informative blog based on research (thanks to a wonderful program that collects and posts articles to a blog) with commentaries in posted articles and self written articles based on my experiences at:

The oil slick is still out there with tar balls washing up on beaches,  and some of the "boons" had actually been stolen, but many people were able to get jobs helping with the spill

(now if I could find a way to get paid about sick or hurt animals that's bound to end up in my yard BEFORE they get here . . . the perks of living on the water) -  the river never flooded my house even during Hurrican Katrinae but my old washer tub cracked and started to flood the house. . .

I hope the new dog doesn't get any sicker than it is already, my carpets are getting ruined.

So it may be a good thing that the boyfriend's been busy and not as available here lately; his dad may have to have surgery for a pinched nerve in his back, a nephew and girlfriend were able to move out before their baby was born, the ex-wife got a bigger house so his daughter and grandson were also able to move out but then another nephew moved in and needed help getting his truck fixed and look for a job. Our lonely friend over in Mississippi where we stay and go fishing got himself a roommate, Trish-I'd met her before when she stayed on our last trip (we saw a big black snake when we were fishing)

The tomato garden is making it and I'm slowly but surely clearing more grass (and so less yard to cut) for a fall garden.

Gulf disaster-it finally happened

everyone was talking about all those oil rigs along the beaches and about a major disaster-it happened, a rig blew up around Lousianna and broke a pipe. It's leaking in 3 places and can't get fixed because it's so deep so they trying to use "boons" to contain it. Theres been heavy rains, high tides and southerly winds so all of that is just making the oil slick just sit in place while it grows but it will eventually reach shore. Fishing is going to be interesting this summer and I'm waiting to see what kind of animals wind up in my yard. There already was some green lizard with a black spike on its head seen around my door and a tiny inch ling baby turtle was brought to me, haven't yet heard stories about snakes and alligators getting into peoples yards to escape. Still got the boyfriend, daughter got a job, boy got a dog
